Become a volunteer

Volunteers are an invaluable part of our team.

Volunteering for the Queensland Eye Institute Foundation is a rich and rewarding experience.

By volunteering not only will you be making a difference to the lives of other Australians who use our services, but you’ll also be enriching your own life.

Each year, we have amazing people donate their time to help us provide support to people who are suffering from eye conditions and allow us to develop a world without blindness through medical research.

We value the support each and every volunteer provides and in return we offer a structured program that aims to match the unique skills of each volunteer with their areas of interest.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet new people while playing a vital role in the community. We can offer rewarding opportunities whatever your availability – whether it’s for an hour a month or a full day a week.

Some of the roles our volunteers currently provide include:

  • General administration assistance (including data entry for charity mail outs) within our fundraising department
  • Guest speaking about our services to community groups
  • Helping at local events and functions both in the community and at the Institute

But these are just a few examples.

If you are interested we would love to hear from you. Please register your interest by completing a Volunteer Enquiry Form by clicking on the button below or contact us on 07 3239 5050 during office hours.
