Commercialising our research

The Queensland Eye Institute Foundation is well on the way to commercialising three of its research projects. This is where research is transformed into marketable products and where QEIF’s eye research comes to life in the treatment and care of our patients undergoing eye surgery.

Professor Traian Chirila said: “We have been working on these projects for two years. By establishing a connection between scientific practice and theory, and market solutions, we are enabling researchers and business to share knowledge and collaborate on projects, leading to innovative market solutions but most importantly delivering on QEIF’s purpose to save sight.”
