The Queensland Eye Institute Foundation Board is responsible for defining our purpose and strategy whilst ensuring every dollar we receive is put to the best possible use. The Board oversees corporate governance and risk and ensures we comply with all the relevant rules and regulations.

Led by Chairman – Mark Sheridan, the Board includes Executive Director & CEO – Mark Radford, Director – Judge Anthony Rafter, Company Secretary – Kelly Langdon and Director – Jemma Elder, who joined the Board in 2016 and who we would like to introduce you to.

Jemma is Managing Director of Personalised Plates Queensland (PPQ). PPQ is a partnership between the Queensland Government and one of the world’s largest advertising agencies, the Publicis Groupe. Jemma is also Managing Director of KiwiPlates, a partnership between Publicis and the New Zealand Transport Agency. Jemma brings extensive business, sales and marketing experience to the QEIF Board having previously worked in senior management positions with ASX listed companies including Ardent Leisure, Goodlife Health Clubs and Dreamworld. Jemma holds a Bachelor of Business and is currently undertaking studies in Applied Finance, whilst also being Mum to six-year-old Harley.

Jemma says: “I cannot imagine being without my sight and how it would affect my everyday life. It is this together with my firm belief in QEIF’s purpose that attracted me to join the QEIF Board. QEIF’s capabilities and approach to clinical care, education and research are unique. To utilise my experience and work towards saving the sight of future generations is a real driver for me.”
